Here is some video of my father plowing with his 185 two days ago.  It is one of the latest 185's, serial number 15616.  It was bought new in 1981 from Wade Impelment in Endeavor, WI.  He is going in 4th gear (second gear high range on the power director) just a touch over 5MPH.  In most conditions, the 185 really needs a 4 bottom plow.  However, there are times when plowing under alfalfa in some of the heavy clay soil on this farm, it won't pull the three bottom without putting a tire chain on the land wheel.  The tires are loaded with calcium chloride.  (In those conditions, a D17 will only pull a two bottom plow.)

Thanks for sharing that is awesome!!!  I love the sounds of the 185, everytime I hear one it reminds of being a kid on Grandpa's farm, he had a 185 also.

I watched him make 6 or 7 rounds just to see him finish the dead furrows-wait a minute, it was only 1 round over and over .
I would like to get my 185 out with my 2000 plow, not allowed to plow my grass.
