Unstyled WC air cleaner

   I thought I could save my air cleaner off the 35 WC. I had the main part in a bucket of water hooked to my battery charger and yesterday I bead blasted it to finish things up. I can't believe all the places that are rusted through. Anyway, what I was thinking was maybe to gut the inside of it, make a couple plates and an elbow for the intake side and rig it so I could put a pleated paper filter in it. Anybody ever try this? The supply of good used seems low and if it worked out maybe a kit for conversion would be possible. I have considered patching ,but I don't know if tractor vibration would loosen up any kind of epoxy. I don't have any experience brazing so that might be out of the question. Any encouraging words or thoughts.

	I have rebuilt parts using bondo & screwing metal behind rusted area w/flat head drywall screws & grinding off heads, did fenders on I 40 that way & still holding up/no peeling
