OK, I bought a refurbished carb for my series I D14. Now the carb leaks fuel from the bowl all the time? Had to hit the bowl with a hammer to free the float to start the tractor. My question, will the float eventually free itself and break in?

Most likely, no. I'd disassemble the carb and clean the needle and seat. You may as well throw a kit into the carb while doing so. It sounds as if things are gummed up. Who refurbished it?
