I got the WD done, other than a few little things.
Not some thing that is original, but I am happy.

On to the WC that came home Sunday, not sure if it will get done or not sure needs a lot.I'm a bit confused (easy to do) with serial #'s tractor WC 170962, engine W28183K.
I think the tractor is 47? engine? 36?  Am I even close???

Nice looking WD! Did you go through the entire tractor? On your WC, SN is for 1948. Don't know about engine # - others will help.

WD looks good. Is the WC engine number stamped in the center rear of the block were the starter kinda hides it? That would be an early pre starter block. 170962 would be a 1948 tractor. Lots of em had engine swaps over the years, most being swapped out for a later engine instead of an earlier one.
It shouldn't be much of a problem to make the WC look as good as the WD does. LOL

No, I changed all of the fluids, replaced the block (twice), new radiator, new alternator, new wiring, new tires and tubes, repaired the hydraulic pump, cleaned out drans and diff to get old lub out. New paint and decals.
I am happy with it, was not looking to do a complete restore, just wanted a good looking daily drive.  I am not a farmer, just sometihing to do in retirement.

The WC has the serial number for the engine in the center rear, hidden by the starter, Yes.

I like the looks of the bench seat. I am 300 lbs. Two supports under my rear would help alot.

I did the paint myself, used a Harbor Freight HVLP electric spray system.
Paint is Van Sickel, Persian Orange #1, with hardener, from ATWOODS.
I like the look, but I did have a flaw or 2 in the paint.  But I am happy with it.
