The Cross 3 point hitch conversion won't work on my D17 Series 3 Serial Number 67086 because the Allis hitch bracket is too wide for the Cross anti-sway bracket that is supposed to straddle and bolt onto it. Cross Mfg says that their kit should fit all WDs and D17 Series 1,2 and 3 but according to the parts book it looks like Allis widened this bracket at SN 24001 & up. The Allis bracket is about the same overall width as the Cross anti-sway bracket so there is no way that I'm confused as to how to install it - it won't fit. I'll stand corrected if someone can post a picture. But until then, before I start cutting and welding, has anyone else run into this and have a recommended fix?

I have a hitch from a series 4 on my series 2, but I don't have the sway bar braces on mine to say how well they fit. The sway bar brace that OK Tractor sells looks to be built with 2 sets of pin holes for the wide vs narrow drawbar hangar. AaronSEIA
