I have made segmented cutting boards before, but this time I cut it on an angle.  Thought it looked like motion, so hatched an idea...!

 
Could I make a flag as a wall hanging out of unstained wood?  Here is what I did.  Red heart, purple heart and white ash.



I plan to rub some wax on it and hang it on the wall.  No stars.

WOW... took me a minute to see how you could take a glued up block and cut it at an angle and reglue to do that !! ........... DO you have red heart wood available in your region or do you have to import ( purchase)... I have never heard of it in the mid west.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

We have a Woodcraft store in town that has all these species and more. Not sure where they source it!
