weighed some flywheels today  49 wd 60#   37 wc 65#   d17 series 4 59#  , what does the wd45 weight ?    the wc does not have a ring gear but once its machined for a ring gear it will still weight more than the wd flywheel because its hollow under the disc face .    how much does the wd 45 flywheel weight ?   i have been told they are heavyer.      how much weight is to much weight on the crank for my puller project ?    has any one welded the crank side of the wheel to gain a few more pounds                                                                    dont have 45 one to wieght

I used to make a donut out of 5/8" thick steel bolted to the front of the flywheel. About 12 lbs extra weight.

Unless it is as big of diameter as the flywheel, it won't do much. Might eventually break the snout off the crank.
