First-time posting on the forum.  Have been restoring our (new to us) 1953 WD over the past couple of months.  Have enjoyed reading many posts on the forum while gathering information during this process.  Very pleased with the progress so far.....thanks for looking...Dave J

Excellent job. What is your serial number? 1953 had both WD and WD45 models produced. About 15,000 of each. Would love to have your loader! Will look good for a long time. :-)

Well, don't I suck. I have been posting on here for years(back in the 1990's) and I don't have any of our AC's looking anything near as good as your WD. Congratulations on your job. She is a beauty.

What size rear tires are on the tractor? They look beefy!

I just saw your serial #. I purchased a wd 45 a little over a year ago. It is a wide front with 4 bolt, tall head, and curved shifter. My serial # is 137878. It was built within the WD Years. that makes it a'53 model.

Pipefitter

Your Serial 137878 is a WD, not a WD-45.

45's started at 146607. Your WD would have the 45 Trans. with curved shifter though.

What a beautiful job!!!  I can assure you they never came off the flat cars new looking that good.  My congratulations!
Also, as the serial number shows, it is rather late WD since it has the WD-45 head with the wide plug openings and the curved shift lever which means a constant mesh transmission.  Allis Chalmers was always upgrading its units rather that waiting for the new model.
I never cease to be amazed as to how you all take such time and treasure to fully restore an older unit.  Thank you very much for keeping a name I love alive.
Welcome to the Forum!
Good Job!
Good Luck!
Bill Long
