As some of the others have said, it’s so nice to go out in the morning and hear birds and critters. I couldn’t be happier.
Tonight I could hear frogs n crickets.
Took off work early yesterday to go be a pallbearer at a friends funeral then to see mom at assisted living. I forgot them and it made me even more appreciative of having them.

WHERE, what kind did you get?  I've never heard (NOT a pun) of a set of them masking tinnitus!  My tinnitus is a high pitched whine. I hear crickets all day long.  At times it's like a locomotive train.  I HATE going 'what' all the time....

Do you constantly hear locusts/cicadas?
I been hearing them for years. I don’t hear them with the hearing aids in but reading this tonight without them I’m hearing the locusts and ringing.
Will this go away with time or just when the aids are in?
That is what tinnitus is all about.  I've had it for 60+ years.  I've gotten used to it, but I can't hear bluebirds or a lot of other things that 'normal' people can hear.  I know I need them, but the horror stories,,,,,,,   One of these days...

And Shameless,,,,,you can always say, "I had them turned off" Big smile

I agree,,,,,,,THANKS for this thread my friend!! Clap

I had not 'heard' the real Cicada Locusts singing for some years until got my aids, walked out of the clinic and they were active, did not hear them going in other than the ring of my tinnitus.  As to the Masking, mine are PHONAK and for some odd reason as soon as put them in and they turn on the ring subsides, is still there but is deep background soft.  Been told by others theirs did similarly.

Mine were expensive but for now as have had them this long was well worth it.
