I know I've been saying for a while now that I was going to paint my WC but I've been covered up with stuff that was more important and haven't got the chance. Now that all of that is done I pulled the WC out of the barn and put it in the garage where I will have easy access to the air compressor and other tools. Tomorrow the PO#1 is going to be replacing some of that ugly green primer.

It is still a little dirty where it sat in the hay shed over the winter.
Shop Clutter. LOL
Lined the gas tank with Red Kote.

This is what we got done Monday. I didn't play with it much today. But I'm going at it real hard in the morning.

I hope you guys don't mind me posting so many pictures. I took all of these because it will never be like this again and I would like to make an album of the restoration to put with it at shows.

I had to stop a leak in this plate and now I have to re sand  and prime it.

Taped off my exhaust. The body hammer is for some slight dents on the fenders.

Very cool! Reminds me of doin a restore on the ol' WC about 5 years ago.

One trick that might help ya if you dont have any, use some degreaser before painting. This will help big time for preping the surface, so you are ready for paint.

Sorry I haven't been putting more things on here. I got all of my wisdom teeth pulled out and haven't been able to go at it. When things get to feelin' better I will get back on it and post some more pics.

Wisdom teeth? Not fun at all. Looks like you're making good headway on the WC.

Ouch buddy! I remember(vaguely) getting all 4 of those things cut out when I was about 17. Makes you feel pretty groggy for a couple of days, then sore for a few more. Just remember to do what they tell you to, so you don't get a "dry socket". Had a friend that got hers out right after I had mine. She got a dry socket, not good. Very painful.

Get back with us on the paintjob when you can. Take your time. We can wait. Just make sure to do a good job, and make her look pretty.
I didn't do it! It was a short, fat, tall, skinny guy that looked like me!

It looks like you're making way more progress than I. I always liked the way your wc looked in primer but I can't wait to see it orange. By the way the best way to get over getting wisdom teeth pulled is go pheasent hunting the next day.
