Started in 2006 in N.D., now in S.D., MT, & MN, has helped 130 farm families in crisis, such as illness, injury, natural disaster, with planting or harvesting. Founder is Bill Gross, UPS pilot who grew up on farm near Cleveland, N.D.; he still owns the farm. Farm Rescue, a non-profit, is based in Jamestown, N.D. As sponsorships and donations increase, Farm Rescue plans are to expand into other states. This summarizes the cover article in Sept 10-25 American Profile newspaper, a 24 page insert. I can remember Dad spending a day with a dozen or more neighbors when they plowed the wheat stubble ground for a recently widowed neighbor lady. Herb

The main supplier of machinery for Farm Rescue is RDO Equipment. I am good friends with the truck driver that hauls alot of the Farm Rescue machinery. He figures about 1 out of 5 people really need the help. Most got more than enough money to hire someone to run there own equipment. They have a 1000 acre limit per applicant. So most applicants still need to do some of their work on there own.
To me it looks like a public relations stunt for Big Corporations. Millionaires trying to feel better about gouging people in the first place.
