Hey ac,
How do you happen to have so many acres of black eyed susans?

This is the second year of this 10 year project. I put the farm into a crp program. Got tired of dealing with deadbeat tenants and this deal came up so I jumped on it! LOL!
Have 9 different varieties of native stuff growing there. I went with a pollinator mix of 9 varieties of flowers and flowering grasses. I still mow the waterways myself as I have always done. Now I need a bee keeper to put some bee hives in there!

I was under the impression, sign ups for CRP had permanently ended?
I have always had mixed emotions about such programs. I don’t knock those that participate, I hammer hard on those that create the concept. |

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

I dont approve of the govt. BUT sometimes ya gotta deal with them and since we already had crp waterways on the farm I decided to go this route. Saves the soil for another 10 years too.
