I found this B10 and called about it. Man lost interest in the restoration. Missing the grill and the motor is bored 10 over. Says it ran at one time. Looks like a good priced project to me. What should I look for? Is this deck correct? What is the motor supposed to be?

I think it is a fair deal.
And I'd grab that starter generator while I was at it if it's not needing rebuilt or haggle if it does. It's looks like the original engine is in there. Also, it appears to be the original deck. Don't know per se what to look for on these other than the normal worn things. You might happen upon a grill down the road, or, make your own to insert. Just an idea of a direction to think of.

2 things to check. The gas tank for pinholes, as good tanks are near impossible to find and run dang near $100 if you do. Check the bevel gear box (BGB) for play. They are not too hard or expensive to rebuild, but it can be a bargaining chip. Check the deck spindles for bad bearings too.

Thanks all. Looks like a fun project. If it lasts until Saturday I'm running to go get it.
