Is there anyone that knows how many of these open station 7030s came out of the factory? The serial number I forgot, but it was towards the end of production of the 7030’s.

Pretty rare, I would guess less than 200 - The first ones hit in like, Dec of 72 before the official intro unless memory has failed as I saw one at our local dealer and it was in the back of the shop. It was an open station but somewhere about that time, the dealer had to sign a release of liability on each unit at time of order to get one w/o ROPS. Hmmm I guess I didn't answer the question exactly.

Of all the 7000 series (7010 & up) open station, the 7030 was the most common.

I recall that my Dad and uncle only sold a few of the open station 7000 series. In fact, several of them went out of the dealership with after-market cabs e.g. Year-Around. I only remember a few on the lot with no cabs. The after-market cab wouldn't have been put on until after the sale was made. I think most were 7030's but there may have been a 7050 or two.

Have to agree could not be more than a couple hundred.
In reality these should be bringing more than a D21 based on rarity and they are darn cool. |

Our neighbors had a 7030 open station, bought it brand new. I remember it being the first 70xx series I ever saw. He was chopping silage in the field next to our place with a two-row and moving right on. We were still using a 200 and just crawling with the two row. I remember how it sounded pretty good under a load. I was just a kid but I sure was jealous.

I have a 7030 open station that has linkage instead of cables for everything but the throttle , had a yearround cab on it when i got it over 20 years ago, Wow it was loud inside , pulled cab and put fenders back on and have been planting 600 acres a year with a 12 row , love it I always say it will be the last tractor to go

When i was young maybe 13 or14 we went to our local dealer for some parts. We didnt have anything bigger than a 190 xt. Great tractor but not a 7000 series. Of course dealers try to get to fathers thru their sons. The salesman got me on a 7040 open station. We got it out on the road in high gear. He pushed the fuel wide open. I felt like i had a tiger by the tail
I had never felt that much power Good memories |
