Facebook marketplace is pretty eye opening. I think it’s cleaner because your Facebook profile is available to buyers and sellers. I found an AC 920 diesel ten miles from me. I was the back buyer. Someone had already looked and was going to “be back” . He did too. Seller was more than willing to let me pen hook the guy though. Picked up a 54” GT deck for my Cub Cadet great transaction. Also a great source for second, discounted or over stocked construction materials.

I’m well aware of how they work. We put them in our tools we manufacture.

Just think about a little bigger picture a little farther down the road. What information will be put on there and required for what purposes.

Has to be less than 4" AND if you're paranoid a simple metal patch over the implant area will shield it from being read.
I've designed/built a LOT of RFID readers over the years as a 'proof of concept' for an automatic pet door system. Allowed only YOUR pets in/out  of the house...not let local coons or neighbours pets into your house.

Typical slippery slope argument. You give that, it’s just an ID or back up ID verification. Then what? Before you know it, your chip is required for every transaction you make, or is accessed while making the transaction whether you agreed to it or not. Doesn’t have to be from outer space, just near enough, and it ain’t hard to do. Go ahead, but not for me!

When I advertise on FB---I state item is as pictured and is as priced and is as described! ---no need for other conversations about it. -- either you are interested or you are not--IF not dont message me!
That usually cuts down on most of the spammers.

It's a small world Lonn but I'm Definitely more of the Slavic and European decent, but I might have more Indian in me than Pocahontas. Definitely some pretty turbulent times back then. Not like it ain't now.

My Great Great Grandpa was a Union soldier at the time and was called upon for that duty of the hangings or more so he was present as one soldier of the 6 companies of soldiers present from the Tenth Minnesota Voluntary Infantry Regiment. He was pretty fresh from Norway just a few years earlier, coming to America at the age of 16.

I bought a 2002 Ford F150 as well as the Allis 5020 thru the facebook market place. Dixie sold several household items also. I look at it most days. Most items are to far away for me now.

I have stayed away from it also in spite of the prodding that I needed to get up to speed.  After seeing Tom's posting, I decided to take a peek and liked what I saw on the Market Place.  So....... I weakened and signed up.  Apparantly they have a "probation" period and now I can't access.  I can not even follow up on a couple of "messages" I initiated execpt those that had progressed off the site.  Thought I would just use "chaskaduo" suggestion again and now blocked there also. Easy fix, just delete the membership and found that is not as easy as the couple of "clicks" it took to sign up...By the way, "chaskaduo," is that like Chaska MN/Twincities/Mpls/St Paul?  Dale

People don't need to work very hard at getting your personal information. It was just revealed to the public, that the State of Illinois DNR released( actually just made public, if you looked) the names, address and social security numbers of anybody that has a registered boat in the State.
They claim they have fixed the problem, Pfffttt!

I just bough a TL12 a couple weeks ago through Facebook.

You can put as much,or as little personal information on facebook as you prefer.
One advantage over CL,is that you can view the persons profile to see what kind of person you are dealing with,as opposed to flying blind on CL.
