wanting to pull engine from my C and not wanting to use jacks and blocks to hold it up for a while, I spent 15 minutes to fab this stand from an old rim and a piece of 2x2 angle with a 3/4" bolt thru the loupe on bellhousing.

my stand has two uprights... one on each side of the bell housing... just got to make sure you leave room to pull the engine mounting bolts.... One leg may work , but better not have any side load while your removing or working..
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

I would be more concerned with front to back movement. Needs a brace.             MACK

I don't like overcomplexity, but I DO like being able to roll the front and back half apart easily, so they can be shoved around the shop like cabinets... it opens up floor space so nice.

The tricky part, is getting 'em lined up right afterwards.  My trick, is to use old space-saver spares and junk car hubs as casters, and when it comes time to mate 'em, the tire pressures are low enough so that when they're ready to line up, a little lean on one will get 'em started, and socking down the bolts will not put critical stress on anything.  If the height isn't quite enough, a shot of air in just one of the tires solves it.  Wink
Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest.
