I know how much everybody likes pictures- I pulled the motor and tranny so I could get it into the basement for the winter.
Built a handy tractor table downstairs behind the furnace in my makeshift man cave.
Stripped it down
Repaired the cracks in the frame by the BGB
Sandblasted
I have put a ton of work into this project over the last year. Repaired the steer axle pivot wear, put new seals in the bevel gear box, rebushed the spindles, etc, etc. These pictures show a small fraction of the process.
More to come.....

Looks great man! Keep them pics coming. Some people don't really know what goes into a resto till they do one. And it doesn't matter whether its big or small. There's a lot of time, work, and good hard earned money put into them! But the end result is quite rewarding! This project is coming along super nice! Nice job! As my pal Bill Long says: "They're nicer than they were new from the factory". He's right! They are!

Heres how I got into the hobby, someone gave me a 611 Hydro. BeforeAfter
I sold that one because it is way too small for me, and being a lawn tractor, it doesn't have any attachments for playing in the dirt!
By the way, it is an early B-10, someone along the way slapped the bee decals on it and painted the motor and trans black. There is original yellow under the black.

The guy is a tin knocker by trade, so it is built perfect. He hasn't been around since September, I sent him a PM, I will let you know if he gets back to me. |

So, thats it for now. I need my paint booth to warm back up (takes until June, usually) then I can paint the motor and trans, fuel tank etc. And finish her off.
Thanks for looking!

I bought the seat from a woman named Mary- I think she lives in Indiana or Ohio. She does excellent work. I don't know what she all makes seats for. Her e-mail is kmgeartheart@juno.com
She said to go ahead and post her e-mail if other people were interested.
I think it was $80 for the seat, backrest, and two armrests.

The badge on the grille is from Steiner Tractor- part number ACS138. The decal on the toolbox came in the decal kit, I'm not sure where its supposed to go so I cut it out and slapped it on the toolbox. I think it looks pretty good. |

It will be ready to bring to the Nekoosa Giant Pumpkinfest tractor and small engine show on Saturday, October 4, 2014.
I think folks would be interested to see the before and after on this. Course, you can bring your bigger AC too, if you have room on your trailer! Look forward to seeing you then. Edited by macvette - 18 Aug 2014 at 3:24pm |
