what are the differance from series 1 to series 4 engine lube systems the pipeing on my two parts tractor engines are alot differant

The "OLD STYLE" uses the Bypass filter with the mason jar thread.. Same as the B,C,CA,WD... etc......... Later in the "D" series they switched to the automotive PH8 full flow filter..( some had the old, then later they had the NEW).. it would have a much larger tube ( maybe 3/8 inch??) coming off the filter housing and screwed into the side of the engine block..

You can not interchange the filters or housings.. Things are different inside.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.
