I been shopping for a new porta-band saw.
Was gonna buy a new Harbor freight..
I saw a good looking Milwaukee on market place. I called the guy and tried to make arrangements to go look at it.
The next add was for a Stihl concrete saw for trade.
He was looking for a miter saw. I upgrade ever so often. I have 4 at the moment.
I sent him pics and he wanted my old Dewalt.
The concrete saw has the pull rope broken.
I took a chance on it.
Last night I came home with the bandsaw for half the price of the harbor freight and came home with the concrete saw.
When I got home I pulled the recoil starter from the concrete saw and started it with a drill.
It seemed to run good.
Now to install one of the porta-band blades ole Desert Joe gave me and the porta-band will be working.

BY GOLLY,,Thad,,I'm PROUD of you!!,,,and,,I'll also wager Ms. Jenn will be as proud as I am,,,Whoops,,! Does she even know YET,,?? Well,,I won't mention it but you'll have to watch out for ole Shameless,,,,he does tend to like these type sit-i-ations,,,and I'm sure he'll offer up some "suggestions",,,  He just can't help hisself,,,,,,, That reminds me,,,I ain't been to the (ahem) "Transfer Station" in a while,,,and I know in my big ole heart,,that I have passed up on some good deals (I still got some room in my 5 acres) for them "special deals",,,,,  OH,,and I did pick up a Craftsman Drill like I been fretting about, on The Marketplace for $5,,,has an almost new chuck and,,,,and,,,Guess what, Steve,,,it also gots a NEW Left Hand fine thread Bolt on the chuck,,,!! I think the armature has a short in the windings, but,it also gots a good reversable switch and a new chuck key. Lookin like I be "Chittin in Tall Cotton" on this one after all,,,,,,  My (liberal) neighbor come over and seen the "refurbished" Craftsman Drill,,and wanted it back,,!! I told him the price was now $49.95! He tried to Remind me that is was HE had Given it to me,,,,( I told him it was due to his president's inflation) I'm outa here,,,,,
