I know this has been asked before but couldn't find it in search. Have valve apart and only brass ring I see is one 3/4 in round and don't see how it effects it. Ball and springs look ok. Don't see what is wrong. Thanks Gary IN

Here is the topic that was covered. I just did mine over the weekend, I was a little confused on the "peening" with the ball part. The way mine was assembled there was not a ball the was close to this copper washer??
