That tractor is clearly set up for working the river bottom brushy areas. I wondered where the transition point from reduction finals to straight axle rears occurred... and now I see. Did the D19 have another stage of reduction tucked between the differential and the wheel hubs? like... planetaries against the sides of the rearend by the brakes?

Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest.

One final drive reduction. They just moved the bull gears "inboard" like an IH or Oliver and went to a "bar" shaft axle. Design carried on thru the 190/190XT-200-7000. Space between the each bull gear area for the snap-coupler tongue hitch.

Six-cylinder gas/diesel/and lp gas, yes. The WD-45 and D-17 diesels were always 6 bangers and the same family as the D-19 engine line. Buda engines evolving into Allis engines.

Don't think I've ever seen a D-19 myself. I knew there was a breakdown where more horsepower was needed but no idea where.
