A couple of weeks ago i posted on putting a loader with double acting cylnders on my Series 1 D-17. I was having problems getting enough hydraulic pressue to run my loader. I bought a new 4 way spool with a pressure relief setting. I still could only get about 800 psi to my loader. I used a gauge to follow my pressure and discovered that my loader controls were bypassing. i had 3,000 going to my loader and only 700 going to the cylnders. I put a new joy stick on my tractor and it works great. I have read other posts that people say that you cant put double acting cylnders on a series 1 or 2 D-17. All you have to do is put a 4 way spool with a relief that you can adjust.
