What is the recommended fluid for the hydraulic pump and power and power director for a D-17 Series IV? My manual states Automatic Transmission Fluid. Can I use the universal hydraulic fluid in here without ill consequence? I did a serch and cannot find anything.
Thanks,
Chris

Yes. Hytran fluid will do just fine. I picked up a jug at Farm and Fleet last week and it has the Allis 821 number on it. I had never looked before, just used it.
