Well, still in the process of rebuilding my 226. I need to replace some of or all of the pushrods. I bought some that came out of a d17 engine and they are different than the ones i have. The rocker arm end is the same but the lifter end is different. It seems that if i go with the different style i got i will need to change the lifters also to accomodate the different size pushrod. I will try to attach a pic(my first time) of what im looking at. The 2 on the left are what came out of my engine, one being worn and bent, the other being in good condition. The one on the right is what i bought. Thoughts and opinions please?? Thanks in advance. Shannon |

the 201 engines had solid pushrods they should be the same length and diameter as the hollow 226 pushrods with pressed end caps. unless your building a puller and wanting light valve train components the 201 pushrods are probably more durable . It appears you have two pics. of the same style hollow pressed end cap one has been ran with alot of lash and has spun in the lifter wearing it down on the end over a period of time.
