My 17 is hanging up occasionally when I try to pull it into the low side. The hogh side work fine. If you go to high a couple of times it will go into low. it doesn't slip when it is in low. I have the side cover off and there is nothing obviously wrong. Has anyone had this problem?

My guess would be the neutral catch mechanism is getting caught somehow when pulling the lever back.

I had the side cover off and it would still catch. It has to be in the low side clutch pack. It worked fine and started doing it when I was rotobaling last year. I looked for loose pins but didn't find one. Is there a snap ring holding the drive hubs that could have broken?

Could be a broken plate stacking onto another plate.   MACK
