What is the power steering fluid capacity of a D17 series III? Should it just cover the top of the gear in the housing? It seems to be overflowing at times, can't figure out why. What is the best fluid to use if I were to change the oil?
Thanks. |

Use modern day hydraulic fluid like any new tractor would use....takes approx 5 quarts....just cover the gear by 1/2 inch.
