I replaced the belts on the D17 that I rebuilt. The replacement fan/water pump belt was a really really tight fit to put back on. By tight fit, I mean that there was alot of tension on the belt when it was installed, and that I really had to stretch it to make it go around the lip of the last pulley. After about 3 hours of use, the new belt broke. I have a feeling that the belt I put on was the wrong size.
What size belt should I use for the fan/water pump? How can I tell if it's too loose or too tight?
Thanks.
