Nope. Use modern hydraulic/transmission oil. Easier to find and leaks less.

Universal tractor fluid - hydraulic fluid.. both are fine... If you want to use Automatic trans fluid, i would pick the older "ATF" or Type "F" and not the new Synthetic Mercons V or LV or Dextron III ... to thin and too many addatives.
But i agree with Dr.. we just use hydraulic- trans fluid.
