Is the AC D17 hydraulics system an open or closed system with the transporter hook-up?
 
Also, what is the gallons per minute output of the hydraulic pump?
 
I have read my manuals and the I&T book, but I could not find this information.

The first 17's through the series III had one system and the series IV had another system. In order for anybody to help, you would have to let people know what tractor you have.

The Series IV did not use a transport valve.

I guess this doesn't help. Tractor Date only lists the series IV.

Sorry about not giving all the information as I am still learning about the tractor.  The tractor is a Series III.

You have the high pressure low volume system. The pump stops whenever you step on the clutch. If you're thinking about putting a loader on it, you really want to add a front mounted pump driven directly from the engine. The specs Charlie posted only apply to the series 4. Basically its the same system that was introduced on the WD tractor. It does not have an open center. Basically its power up gravity down with the control valve being in the belly of the tractor with the pump. Additional valves can be added, someone put a double valve on my series 1.
