I am not sure I understand what is wrong. The govenor is on the front right side (seated view) of the engine, in front of the distributor. The throttle input is on the same side. the linkage that comes out of the left side is after the govenor, and controls the carb. Many things could be wrong if the lever to the left side doesen't move. The govenor may have a mechanical problem, seized shaft, broken parts etc. the shaft that runs through the front cover may be seized. the throtle linkage may be incorrectly adjusted. the carb might be frozen up. Can you provide those pictures, or a few more details?
Thanks

Could be as simple as a broken governor spring. Pull little cover with 4=1/4 in bolts and pull cover to see. ???? that would be the simplest thing i can think of

Zach? Ive heard the business mentioned, probably straight form the heart. I did get curious what y'all do and checked the site. Should be a good market in that area. We're about as far apart as we could get and both still be in middle Georgia. I'm over on the oconee river, across from Horsehoe Bend Plantation. At least you know your advertising is working. Let us know what you find when you get to look at it again.
