Rookie question. I was looking at a drawbar yoke on a 59 D17 and the support arms angle out. On my 59 D17 they come straight back (looks like they've been modified). I've attached a couple of pics. What/is there a standard?

The early D-17's the drawbar support was straight. The wider support came with the 1959 black bar grill D-17's. The black bar grill tractors also have the black steering wheel with the A-C logo in the center.

The newer wider yokes just let the drawbar swing a little more. Each type was standard for the years produced. |

Series I D-17 had the strait support, series II and maybe III had the wider support.

In addition to the early "narrow" support and the later "wide" support, there is apparently a "Heavy Duty" support which is shown in the lower right of this page from the D-17 manual. I've never seen one of these! |
