Looks like as long as my clutch isn't worn, it's design protects it from a leaky rear main seal. Problem is either the pressure plate bolts are rusted in place or someone put Loctite on them. Snapped one right off and none of the others are willing to move without breaking. Someone has definitely been inside this engine before me. It has black RTV on the front cover and oil pan. I might just get this thing going again by summer...
