Hello Orange family.
I had a question about carburetors for my 1958 D17. Currently it has a Zenith carb on it that I’m going to put through my ultrasonic and rebuild if I don’t find a better carb. The question I have is there a certain carb that’s better than the other for a stock D17? Marvel or Zenith. I know there are a bunch of different model numbers that fit just wondering if one runs better than the others. Seems like a perfect time for an upgrade if there is one. Also this tractor is awesome! I’m learning as I’m putting a new crank pulley on it for a fron pump that the wide front on it is from an industrial model so it’s beefy. Thanks for any knowledge or input. I’ll get pictures of it tonight. It’s a production model D17 so it has pto and lift arms and the power director. I’m thinking it was a narrow front some one swapped this wide front on to. Looks similar to the series 4 front ends but it on a series 1. Thanks for the carb info!
