I'm looking at a D17 industrial with a backhoe. Can anyone tell me how high the loader can lift? I have a 200 with a 500 loader would the 17 with the industrial loader lift any where near as high? the loader appears to be heavier duty than the 500.
I haven't seen the tractor in person yet but the pictures look good. I asked if it has a shuttle clutch or power director and he says it doesn't have either. Is that right? how capable is the D17 as a backhoe tractor? It will be for farm use.

Probably wouldnt be much of a field tractor, but should work great as a farm "digging" tractor, ie changing the pipe at the end of the driveway
On the indutrials, PD was an option, as was shuttle clutch.

Looking at the pictures this is a series II or late series I tractor. It has an abjustable front axle with a truss like the D14 in the classified section, did the HD solid front axle start with the series III tractor? There is obviously a front mount hyd pump, so I assume they deleted the belly pump. Is the resivor in the tractor or the loader frame?
Does anyone have any experience with one of these or were they that rare?

I saw a Series III industrial this week and it has the solid front axle. Yours should have the TS-1000 loader with the rated lift of 3000 lbs. Backhoe is 13'6". Power director and shuttle were options on D-17's and I have seen an industrial that was so stripped down that it did not have any hydraulics or PD or shuttle. I can't beleive this D-17 would not have a shuttle. If you are looking for a good bullet proof A-C TLB as a worker on the farm get a 715B. 4700 lbs loader cap and 15' hoe. I started with an I-60 in 1974, than a 715, and now a 715B since 1988. 38 years of A-C TLB's.
