I am trying to find the engine block number for a D15 Series II. I was told some blocks were made in France and the rest in the US. Not sure if that is true or not. Snapped the crank in mine and am trying to locate a good used block just in case.

The only numbers I could find are 160-6172-R and D80. Sorry forgot to put in original post.

Pretty sure all D-15II blocks are american made. 6172 sounds like a serial #. 160 is the displacement...
