pull the starter motor off and rotate the engine by hand... test the starter motor separate on the bench with a battery........ I had a "B" lock up a few years ago and had to remove the starter... found nothing, lubed the bendix area and reassembled... I assume the bendix was STUCK in the out position
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

A badly worn ring gear will do that and a worn out starter drive Bendix.

My D 15 wouldn't turn over with the starter . Bendix was pretty chewed up. Steve rebuilt it and it's working fine now . Thanks

Not a D15 but I had an Oliver 99 that the starter would lock up if a battery with poor
starting power was put in it.
