The 3 1/4" diameter center hub of the steering wheel on my D-14 recently disappeared. I found the hub, but one of the three Tinnerman speed cllips (that provide the snug fit that secures the hub into the recess of the steering wheel center) is missing. This clip is 1/4" wide by 1/2" long after being doubled back on itself so it is a snug fit when pressed onto one of the three molded legs of the hub. It is a nice steering wheel, but there is some doubt as to it being origional or aftermarket? Finding this clip or part # is probably the best solution; any assist would be appreciated. Herb

Herb, from what you describe, you probably have an aftermarket steering wheel. Early D14s did not have a center cap and were fastened to the shaft by a roll pin. Later models (1959) had steering wheels fastened to a splined shaft by a nut. With this set up, there was a square cap held on the wheel by 2 screws. The cap either had the AC emblem, or said "power steering" for those so equipped. There are no clips at all. See below...
