 Topic: D14 pto engagement lever seal removal?

Looking for input on how to change the pto engagement lever shaft seal. The handle being welded onto the shaft poses a bit of an obstacle. Looking like I would have to remove the power director to reach where it is internally held in.
Any input would be appreciated.

You are going to have to split it, but there is no need to remove the
power director. Drive out a solid pin that holds the lever in place.
Best to find a way to wedge the other arm in place as it is spring
loaded. Pull out the lever, replace the O ring and put back together.
Use a grade 8 bolt with a lock nut to take place of the solid pin that
you removed earlier.
Also a good time to replace the transmission input shaft seal and power director O rings.

It can be done thru the side cover of power director. Not the easiest of jobs, but can be done. The detent can be tricky. HTH Tracy

Yea, I tried that before. Couldn't any leverage to move the pin. I find splitting the tractor less stressful!

D-14 is a roll pin which removes easier.
