Here is one for all you guys that have (or redone) a D12; where was the break for the aluminium name plates, vs. the sticker on the side of the hood halves?
I have #D12 2460, (G138) which should make it a mid 1960 model.
No holes drilled in hood panels, but someone else did some paint work years ago.
Mine has rear hydraulic pump above PTO and factory three point, if that makes a difference ......
Recomendations on name plates or high quality stickers source also needed for other units I have.

Thanks,

Tim, I am by far no expert on anything, but I understand from several sources that the hyd pump was not put on the rear of tractor until serial no 3001 on D12s and 3501 on D10s. I also thought that is when the metal name plate came along with a 149 eng and 12 volt system. Just my thoughts. Thanks, Bobby.

I have a '65 D-10, rear hydraulic pump, 149 engine, 12 volt system, aluminum name plates, and head lights on the fenders. I don't have the serial number with me.

Thanks for the feedback; I believe i may have a later G138 unit with some of the features that became "standard" as the G148 tractors standardized.
Thanks Randy for the name plates; another thing off the punch list as we get to the end of this true rebuild.
Pics will be posted when she rolls out later this spring.
