 I've got a D-10 series III.
The front axel is/was set all the way in, I wanted to move it out a couple of spaces, I got the left side out with a little trouble, but can't move the right side.
I built a bracket fastened to the left side that holds a hydraulic jack that pushes a 3/4" pipe against the right side axel. The jack has a hand operated pump with a hose and gauge on it. I've pumped it over 3000 lb. and the right axel will not move. I'm about to give up and leave it in all the way. Anyone have a way to move it?

  Thanks,
  Dusty

General heat over large area of axle or force and break free oil over long duration works for some...

I never adjusted axle width. I have relied on heat to free up rusty parts loads of times.

don’t get in too big of a hurry Dusty!, walk by it several times a day and spray it and work your way across the tube with a hammer, with everything under tension, it will slowly move, then you’re home free

as mentioned.. while its under PRESSURE a good SHOCK LOAD can help stuck parts.. Smack it with a 5 pound hammer 20 times..... eventually it should go.... penetrent is a good idea... torch is the last resort.

It's amazing how tightly rust can hold things together!  I usually use lots of heat, penetrating oil, hammering and cuss words.  Some things really put up a fight!
