Guys, I am putting the 3-point on my D10 back together and I am stumped on something and I am hoping you can help. Before I sent the threaded 3-point adjustment assembly to sand-blasting I unscrewed it as far as it would go but the male part (green arrow) never actually came out of the female part(red arrow). It simply became loose and I did not try to force it out instead I opted to send it to blasting as is.
Now it has been blasted, primed and painted and ready to go back on but it simply won't thread on. I can take the female piece and slide it a long ways up the male piece making me think the threads are stripped out. This is true on both sets of these adjustment arms. Is there some type of floating nut in these things? How could both strip out on me at the same time? One last question is what is the roll pin (blue arrow) for? That makes no sense (to me at least) to put a pin through a threaded rod. What am I missing guys? Thanks for the help, Jeff ![]() |
