I was curious if there is an exact production number on the D 17 Thompson high crop? How many units were sent there?  Also I would like any information regarding these tractors. Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Hello Ollie!!    According to the bible  and other books there wasn't any distinsion between the d17 and cane after 1963,  from  1960-1963 there were 421 cane tractors made.   We have a late 1967 factory high crop.   Hope this helps   Allen

I think Allen and yourself are talking about 2 different animals. Allen is referring to the factory D17 high crops that were built in West Allis. The Thompson you are talking about is a conversion of a standard D17 to high crop by an company down in the rice country of Louisiana. That's all I can tell you.
