Just added a quart and a half to get oil level to the full mark . Why did I lose power director oil when I drained the trans ? They have their own drain plugs so I thought they were separate ? My trans oil level seems about the same . Just wondering . Thanks !!

Might have a bad (main shaft?) seal, between the 2 compartments, when you drained the trans, you also took off the oil, above the seal, in the PD...

Power director shaft seals and PTO handle seal can be leaking in addition to the seals going into the transmission. Might also be leaking at the belt pulley shaft too if you have one.
