A term I learned on this site . Put new loaded front tires (7.50/16) on because front end was light with disc harrow raised . Might as well replace old tie rods . Right side spindle kinda loose . Replaced it and knee it goes on . Steering shaft bushings worn . Replaced . Might as well clean and paint gas tank while it's off . Now I'm cleaning and painting the hoods . Will it ever end ? Almost forgot , I ordered governor parts trying to get my RPM up . Thanks !

when you get to the point that you spend twice as much to restore it as a tractor is worth... then you KNOW your having FUN !

Yeah Steve, I'm probably past that point. I do enjoy working on this old tractor. Most of the time anyway . Thanks

I have spent some pretty significant money fixing things that could have been lived with. Just figure I'm probably going to die with it so might as well make it nice. Installing power steering and all the work overhauling the front end on my 45 was a lot of work and $$$ but I really enjoy using that thing more now than ever.

It would be interesting to hear a psychological explaination for why we love on these old tractors and equipment like we do. If I had the money back Ive spent on AC tractors I could almost retire but on I go trying to save every I can plus keep up the ones Ive got. Makes no economic sense but it does sooth the soul

I hear you Donald . Part of my problem is that I'm retired and my D 15 is sitting right here in my shop . Always something on it I can tinker on . I am ready to get it back together and spend a few hours pulling our 6' disc harrow . Thanks !
