Picked up a Fram FF 8A filter today . Part number I have is PH 8A . I was told it's the same filter ? Looks right , anyone know ? Thanks !

there are several "VERSIONS" of the "8A" filter... they are all interchangeabale...
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

I use NAPA 1515 on D15 Series 2 gas and on 87 Ford F250.  I believe WIX makes the filter.
