The straw in our calving barn was getting pretty soaked up, and due for a changing today. But, door size limits what piece of equipment can go in there to clean the old straw out. Ideally, we'd use the skid steer, but as I posted in the other section a couple weeks ago, it has a cracked head. So, today I put my snap coupler blade onto my D 14 and used it. It wasn't as fast as the skid steer, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. What seemed to work the best, was spinning the blade around and pushing the manure out backwards. Once it was out the door, the payloader took it from there. I've had that blade for probably about 10 years, but never really used it for anything too productive until today. Was glad to have it. Isn't it nice when a spare piece of equipment suddenly lets you get something important done?

I've pushed a lot of Shameless' 'donations' with Troy and blade...sigh... As long as you can get traction it's amazing what you can push !
Your D-14 is now off the 'surplus' list and on the 'backup equipment' list !!

Off topic, but I saw the word shameless and wondered where he's been. Has anyone heard from him lately?
