Why wouldn't a D 12 III have a traction booster gauge on it?  It has a factory
plate.  Thanks!

According to my service manual, some D10/D12s did not have a TB setup, especially those with the 3PTH and/or those with the engine mounted hyd pump.

I thought by Series III all D10/12 had the independent hydraulic pumps at the rear of the tractor and draft-sensitive hydraulics even with the 3-point hitch?  The 3-point used some kind of torque bars for draft sensing.
Earlier versions of the 3-point with the engine mounted hydraulic pump were not draft-sensitive.

Traction booster gauges were not the most dependable and many times removed.  Some tractors came with the traction booster system, just not the gauges, especially the small ones.  Their really not that useful anyway, you can feel/hear the tractor labor and set depth lever to were it works the best by feel.  Reproduction gauges are non functioning as far as I know.

According to some sales literature I have on the D-10 / 12 Series III, on the high clearance (hi crop) versions, they did not have the traction booster.

My standard D12 III has draft control but no traction booster gauge. It has the plate also. My D-10 III is the same.
