Is the driving position better than the original? Do you get onboard over the back wheel? Looks good.

I normally cut 6 inches out of the steering wheel shaft and move the wheel forward. Seems to "feel" better that way. And I can scoot forward a couple inches if needed. On production tractor you feel like your rear end is hanging out back... just seems like you should be forward of the tires.

Interesting I have never driven a b so I was wondering how much difference it would make looks like it was well done. Looks like there are some nice floor boards as well I like the final look.

I had retired and my wife's health was declining so I wanted a project.Found this B and it had a dis wide axle and pulley but it was pretty much junk .Someone had shot through the hood , bottom of fenders rusted off,all metal round seat bad ,no battery box , grill all bent up , no starter, , manifold bad fuel tank bad and other stuff.It had a good radiator.I made fenders. seat battery box panels under fuel tank ,made crank and bumper . Moved seat ,steering and pedels forward a foot and lowerd about six inches.Later I made front and rear cultivators .I had also made three point hitch.Now, lost wife to cancer five years this month no garden just used with finish mower some. I aways liked looks of a B since I was growing up but I used ideas from after a D 10 some. Hope this answers few questions.

Front cultivators, lift lifts top right arm and it lifts lower which is solid to shaft under engine and lifts lower arm on left side and lifts top on left . PS I worked 35 years in maintaince and made a lot of projects so this was enjoyable .

Nice!!
I cut 6.5 inches out of my steering colum and it makes the tractor 10x's more enjoyable to drive and get on and off!!
To me it looks like more than 6" out of that colum.

My father who customized this B took 12 inches out of the steering column, lowered the seat six inches, and he had to adjust the pedals lower as well.
I guess Allis was thinking farmers wanted to be up high enough to see over the hood. I can't think of another reason why they would have made that seat and steering wheel so high.
I posted the photos somewhat in reverse order. The lift and photos with the mowing deck are later photos.
I have a few more I didn't post from when he was rebuilding it. I'll add those in a separate post below.

Nice mods to a nice restoration! That tractor needed a lot of TLC!
I spent lot of time on one and that steering wheel is pretty much in your face. :)
