Just wondering if everyone else has the same issue with updates to their computer. My Windows gets really, really slow, to the point of almost not working, when there is an update waiting. If I do the update everything is fine. Is there any easy way to bypass the updates? I usually don't see anything being changed but maybe they can better track my activity or some other use I don't know about. Any thoughts? Why can't they just leave things alone? Seems to happen every 1-2 weeks.

Google 'stopupdates' !!

I installed it on this Win10 machine years ago.... as there's no need for the OS to be updated.

I've also stopped all 'apps' from updating as well.
Only the AV database gets autoupdated.

you might also do a "DISC CLEANUP".... maybe in CONTROL PANEL area..... If you dont cleanup every month, things tend to pile up and slow down the computer..
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

I run CC Cleaner (free version)  about every other week and also use Spybot Search and Destroy (free version) to remove or clean up some .
Advance System care  (free version) also does cleanup
