Thanks Tracy.  Can you flip the shanks up to change the number of rows, etc?  It looks like some are up, and some down.

Murph, You could unbolt them and do that. I think what you are seeing is the part of hitch that hooks to lift arms. The hitch is massive compared to others. Pretty heavy duty for a cultivator of that era. HTH Tracy Martin
